Abstract

|
An inactivated HFRS vaccine was prepared from Hantaan virus, ROK 84/105 strain, isolated from blood of an HFRS patient. Strain ROK 84-105 was inoculated in the brain of suckling ICR mice and brains were harvested when suckling mice were paralyzed
for
preparation of vaccine. Harvested mouse brain treated with ethanol-protamine sulfate, and purified with ultra-filteration and ultra-centrifugation, and inactivated with formalin. For the investigation of gelatin added as stabilizer, and
inactivated
HFRS
vaccine was prepared with different gelatin concentration, preservations and temperatures. Prepared HFRS vaccine was immunized guinea pig for a month. According to the results of neutralizing antibody titer by PRNT, gelatin that added as a
stabilizer
was no effective to the stability of an inactivated HFRS vaccine.
